Location Flags for X (Twitter) respects user privacy. This extension does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data.

Data Collection

The extension does not gather any personally identifiable information and does not access any private user data. No information is ever sent to external servers.

How the Extension Works

• The extension reads publicly visible text on X/Twitter pages.
• It extracts the public “Based in” profile location to display a matching flag.
• No data is stored except a local cache for performance, which stays on the user’s device and can be cleared at any time.
• No data is transferred off the device.

Permissions

Permissions such as storage and host access to x.com / twitter.com are used exclusively for the extension’s stated functionality. The extension does not read browsing history or collect content outside of what is necessary to display flags.
